Sodalite is a relatively uncommon and less well-known gemstone. Like Lapis Lazuli it is loved for its blue tones. It is known to have been traded in the ancient city of Caral (Peru) but wasn't widely known until the 1800s when Europeans discovered deposits in Canada. Some believe it can improve rationality and communication, and reduce fear and feelings of inadequacy.
