Obsidian is a naturally created volcanic glass, which forms from quickly-cooling lava. Snowflake Obsidian is a variety which has mineral inclusions creating white or grey snowflake-like patterns within the black stone. Some believe it to be a calming stone which can help reduce anger and aid meditation.
Black Onyx has been used in jewellery and carvings since ancient times across many cultures including Persian, Greek and Indian. It was believed to be a stone of protection and is still popularly used in this way today. Some also feel it helps release negativity.
Mahogany Obsidian is a beautiful reddish-brown stone with black mottled patterns. Said to boost strength and willpower, it is also believed by some to help reduce a sense of lack or dissatisfaction.
Each piece is handmade using natural materials, so stones may vary slightly — a sign of their authenticity.
